The world of video games is buzzing again, and this time it’s about one of this writer’s favorite franchises.

It seems Ubisoft has updated their facts and figures sheet, and thanks to Kotaku columnist Superannuation for noticing the change, we all come to see that the Assassin’s Creed franchise has topped the best selling list with 73 million copies sold worldwide. The franchise will only see that number grow as they plan to release a game a year due to high demand from their fands. Assassins Creed: Unity looks to be a huge hit by being a next-gen PS4 and Xbox One exlusive as well as releasing a PS3 and Xbox 360 exlusive name Assassins Creed: Comet. This is astounding compared to Ubisoft’s other great franchises. Just Dance trails behind Assassin’s Creed with 48 million copies sold, a trio of Tom Clancy’s follow with copies sold ranging from 25-30 million, while other notable games like Far Cry, Prince of Persia, and Rayman range from 18-25 million copies sold.

This is the complete list for Ubisoft’s games and the copies sold;

– Assassin’s Creed: 73 million

– Just Dance: 48 million
– Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: 30 million
– Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: 26 million
– Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: 25 million
