Call of Duty: Ghosts Didn’t Beat GTA V’s Sales Numbers or Even Black Ops 2’s

by

Remember about two weeks ago, when Activision told Rockstar that they wanted their record back?

Well, since then, Call of Duty: Ghosts has come out, and with high hopes, Activision sold $1 billion worth of copies to retailers. That may have struck a red-flag in your head.

Yes, it should have, because these numbers are a bit misleading. They do not mention consumer sales. In fact, the game sales did even not match Call of Duty: Black Ops II’s sales let alone Grand Theft Auto V’s. But, I think this is mostly due to the fact that next-generation consoles are just around the corner and people are waiting to buy until then. Or on the contrary, it could be that gamers are just done with Call of Duty.

But, if you bought a copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts, and are buying a next-generation version, both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One offer an upgrade through their respective online stores for $10, without the worry of losing your multiplayer progress.

As for physical copies: check your local game store, or click the link below that goes to Call of Duty: Ghost’s website that lays out the options by console and by region.
