Killer Instinct Sends Rage-Quitters to Jail in Recent Update

by

While Rage-Quitting can be rage inducing for both the ‘quitter and the ‘quitee in fighting games, the developers of Killer Instinct have detailed their plans to stop players prematurely leaving ranked matches. Available from the recent update, players who constantly disconnect from matches early will be sent to “jail”, after which they’ll have to serve their time before being released back in to the public.

Rather than completely locking rage-quitting players out of their game, inmates of the electronic pseudo-jail will only be matched against other inmates. This will last for 24 hours for first time offenders, but with each new incarceration, it’ll increase by another 24 hours until it finally caps at 120 hours.

Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.
