Minecraft: PS3 Edition Dropping Tomorrow, PS4/Vita Version Not Dated Yet

In a Q&A blog posting on the PlayStation Blog, it was revealed that Minecraft: PS3 Edition will be releasing tomorrow (December 17). There were only a handful of questions – it was nothing too major – to give us a gist of what to expect in tomorrow’s release. Three of the five questions piqued my interest – one more than the other two – which I will place below. There’s no official word yet on when the PS4 or Vita versions will release but, rest assured, they are still in development at the time of this writing. So you can get your mining on tomorrow on PS3, or you can wait for the PS4 or Vita version – no pressure!

Q: Does Minecraft: PS3 Edition feature everything from the other versions of Minecraft?
Minecraft: PS3 Edition comes with everything present in other console versions. They’re pretty much identical to play, and will be developed in tandem from now on.

Q: Will there be PlayStation-specific content?
PlayStation-specific skins and texture packs would be cool! Fingers crossed, eh?

Q: Does Herobrine feature in Minecraft: PS3 Edition?
Probably not.

In case you’re wondering, the final question there is what piqued my interest the most. Don’t know who Herobrine is? Look up that creepypasta for yourself. An interesting read and the developers have even made a joke out of it since its surfacing. Enjoy your mining and crafting tomorrow on PS3 tomorrow for those who are grabbing it.
