Watch Dogs Delayed to 2014

by

Watch Dogs, Ubisoft’s current and next generation open world action game, has been delayed until Spring 2014.

The game was originally slated to hit PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Wii U by the end of the year, offering an exciting neo-drama alternative to GTA V and deliver puzzle solving through the use of cell phones and tablets. I mean real ones, tethered to the console as well as in game versions.

The reason for the delay has been cited to keep the games quality in line with its ambition, and the few months of extra time may give the game the polish to hit the highs the developers have been aiming for.

This unfortunately pushes the game out of the crucial holiday shopping season, as well as away from the launch of Xbox One and PS4. Both consoles were going to have bundles with the game at launch, which are now up in the air to the dismay of many. Sony is currently working closely with Ubisoft to refit the PS4’s bundle.
