Some people have some pretty good connections. Users in Canada and Italy already have their hands on copies of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. kosthedin on Instagram posted the following photo of their early copy of Pokemon X for the 3DS.

However, these early releases will not contain the Pokemon Global Link services that link Pokemon X and Pokemon Y to one another for trading and battling purposes. With the startup of Pokemon Global Link for these two games, the PGL will permanently cease to exist for Pokemon Black, Pokemon White, Pokemon Black 2, and Pokemon White 2.
