Steam Controller Demonstration Is Extremely Impressive
Valve has released a video with an in-depth demonstration of the Steam Controller including commentary. Each trackpad on the controller can be configured to the player’s liking. Players can choose to make the trackpad function like an analog stick or make it 1:1 like a mouse/keyboard setup for increased precision. The video shows Portal 2, Civilization V, Counter Strike Go, and Papers, Please, each showing different trackpad configurations based on the specific differences in gameplay.
One of the new things about the controller is that it allows you to play First Person Shooters without any auto-aim turned on.
